Pointon York, Get SIPP Pension Claims Advice today. The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has paid out £355,000 on claims against defunct self-invested personal pension provider Pointon York and £15m against IFAs who recommended the company’s product to clients. The scheme started accepting claims against Pointon York in July 2019, after the company went into liquidation in November 2018. The firm accepted business from unauthorised introducers and IFAs and included funds invested in land bank fields divided into plots, stating that planning position may be obtained. The FCA warned against such scams, but Pointon York failed in their due diligence in accepting such investments into their SIPPS.
